This painting was made with oil using a reference photography I took in a past June while traveling from Wisconsin to Kansas, the name of the painting is “Cool June evening” because though I don’t know the exact location, I can vividly remember that fresh end of the day with the sun getting down and the wind cooling the afternoon. I always start painting from the sky as it’s my favorite part, then I move to shape the landscape with different colors looking from references of my own experience in that place. I then finish the painting adding light where is needed. This work in particular, references how nature and the wind shape the clouds and gives dynamics to the roadside bush.
